Transportable Family Solutions |

Daniels has been featuring its transportable radio solution at various tradeshows this year. Available in a variety of enclosures and capable of supporting Analog or P25 digital applications the transportable repeaters are available in all the frequency bands offered by Daniels to solve many of the interoperability problems faced by Public Safety agencies. Daniels also offers a full complement of accessories to create a total radio solution for emergency deployment. 
Aluminum (ET-3) The Daniels ET-3 case is a rugged, pressurized, waterproof, aluminum 19" transportable case (available in orange or black) accommodating one subrack. In addition to the space for a 3U high subrack, the transportable has a 2U space free for optional modules. The lid has a steel plate to magnetically mount an antenna. There are also two versions of the lid to accommodate either an Iridium or Globalstar satellite telephone interface. 
Polyethylene Briefcase (ET-4-A09-00) The Daniels Briefcase Repeater is a compact lightweight case that accommodates standard Daniels radio modules as well as an optional battery backup and duplexer. An interface connection on the side of the case provides access to the RF, DC and AC inputs. The case is rugged, waterproof, and easily deployed by one person. 
Accessories available Spring-loaded Tactical Antenna The Daniels VHF Spring-loaded Tactical Antenna is a broadband 1/2 wave antenna which provides 2.0 dB of gain. It is corrosion and weather resistant. Antenna Tripod The Daniels Antenna tripod supports two antennas in a free standing configuration. Battery Backup Systems A 35 AH external battery is available for all transportable cases housed in a separate case. An interconnect cable is then used to interface to the transportable repeaters. Solar Panel Kit A solar panel array consisting of two 20W panels in a rugged case is available. The solar panel array is easy to set up and can generate up to 2.7 amps of current under maximum sunlight conditions. |

470-520 MHz T Band |

Daniels Electronics is now shipping MT-4E radios in the 470-520 MHz T-Band as well as in VHF and UHF bands. The MT-4E radio is a high performance, low current FM radio capable of P25 digital or analog operation in 12.5 KHz. P25 operation is supported via a purchasable P25 firmware option and secure mode operation is available via optional encryption modules. Omnitronics Audio Bridges |

On August 20th, Daniels signed its 100th Authorized dealer. 10a) MT-4E Analog and P25 Digital Radio Systems Course

Introduction to P25 Radio System Technology.

Discussion of Interface Standards.
·
Practical uses of P25 and definitions of P25 terms.
·
Overview of the new P25 Conventional Fixed Station Interface Standard.
·
Introduction to the New MT-4E Product Line (analog and P25 digital versions).
·
Theory of Operation for all Daniels MT-4 radio systems.
·
Demonstrations and tuning using Daniels MT-4E digital
radio product line.
10b) Radio Systems Basics Course
The course will consist of:
·
Introduction to Radio System Operation and Terminology.
·
Frequencies, Modulation and RF Propagation.
·
Radio System Equipment and Configurations.
·
Basics of Testing and Maintaining Radio Systems.
Any and all students are welcome to attend (Federal, State or Local government employees, Dealers, or any others interested in Daniels radio products).
Students can enroll in the 2-day class
for $700.00 (per student), and the one day class for $350.00 (per student) plus
applicable taxes.
Course Enrollment also includes a set of Daniels Instruction manuals, Training Guide, training tool kit and some other goodies. Feel free to bring your laptop computer to have the RSS software loaded into it.
Customers may also bring their own Communications Analyzer (IFR 2975 or other), Daniels Radio System and test equipment if it is convenient. It is not necessary, but could allow for more hands-on with your own equipment.

Last month it was a pleasure to talk with many of you at APCO. The show was very busy and productive and as you can see above we still have a number of shows remaining this year and hope to see you at one of them. Our new MT-4E radios with their firmware flashing capability create a new way of providing new services and features to our customers and to facilitate this we have added a software download section to our webpage. This is one of many recent developments that I am pleased to share with you in this newsletter.
